Mission and Vision

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor prepares students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society. Academic excellence, personal attention, broad-based scholarship and a commitment to a Baptist vision for education distinguish our Christ-centered learning community.

UMHB will be the university of choice for Christian higher education in the Southwest.

Commitment to Quality Improvement

We will develop and maintain a comprehensive program for quality improvement through a commitment to the implementation and growth of institutional quality (IQ) to include: periodic self-study, assessment, data-informed decision-making, attention to best practices, and an integrated, systematic, flexible annual cycle of planning for all units.

Being systematic and integrated in our planning requires alignment with strategic imperatives, budgets, and employee evaluations while incorporating knowledge gained from each cycle back into the next planning process.
